Scope
This policy applies only to the DocApel marketing website and messages voluntarily sent to its contact address. The website has no patient area, user accounts or online forms.

The processing described below is governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and the Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD).
Data processed
Clicking a contact link opens your email software without sending any data to DocApel. If you choose to send a message, we may process your email address, name and professional contact details, the content and attachments, and the message’s technical metadata. You provide this data to us directly.
Server access and error logs may record the IP address, date and time, HTTP method and protocol, requested resource, response status, volume of data sent, and technical information needed to diagnose an error. This data is generated automatically when you connect to the website. Logs are not used for audience measurement or commercial profiling.
Purposes and legal bases
- Answering professional enquiries and following up correspondence, based on the publisher’s legitimate interest in managing professional relationships (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Taking pre-contractual steps at your request or performing a contract to which you are a party (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Protecting the website, preventing abuse and diagnosing incidents using technical logs, based on the publisher’s legitimate interest in securing its systems (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Complying with the publisher’s applicable legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
You are not required to email us. If you do, the data needed to identify you and understand your enquiry is required so that we can reply.
Recipients and processors
Data is accessible only to authorised people who need it for the purposes described above. HOSTINGER, UAB, Švitrigailos g. 34, LT-03230 Vilnius, Lithuania, provides the website and email hosting as a technical service provider and, when it processes data on the publisher’s behalf, as a processor. Data may also be disclosed to authorities or professional advisers where required by law or necessary to defend legal rights. Data is neither sold nor rented.
Hosting in the United Kingdom
The servers allocated to the website and email service are located in the United Kingdom. Relevant transfers are covered by the European Commission adequacy decision in force for the United Kingdom.
Retention periods
- Correspondence that does not lead to a contract is retained for no more than three years from the last contact initiated by the data subject and is then deleted.
- Where a contractual relationship is established, necessary data is retained for the duration of that relationship. Afterwards, only the information required is archived for the applicable statutory limitation and retention periods.
- Technical logs are kept for a maximum rolling period of six months. They may be isolated for longer only when required for the documented investigation of an incident, compliance with a legal obligation or the defence of a legal right.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may request access to, rectification or erasure of your data, restriction of its processing, object to the processing of your data and exercise your right to data portability where applicable. You may lodge a complaint with the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), the supervisory authority in the country where the controller is established. You may also contact the supervisory authority where you habitually reside, including the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés (CNIL) in France.
Cookies, local storage and analytics
This website uses no cookies, browser local storage, analytics, advertising or audience tracking tools. Its current configuration therefore does not require a cookie consent banner. See the cookie policy for more information.

The website performs no profiling and makes no decisions based solely on automated processing.
